Educational Visit of 4th EPAL Larissa Students to the Facilities of ARMOS Precast S.A.

On Monday, April 7th, students from the 2nd and 3rd grades of the 4th Vocational High School (EPAL) of Larissa visited the facilities of ARMOS Precast S.A. in Larissa, as part of their course in “Structural Works, Built Environment, and Architectural Design.” The visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience with modern production techniques and quality control processes in the field of precast construction.

During the tour, the students were guided through the industrial facility by Mr. Nikos Orologopoulos, Technical Director of the company and Civil Engineer (graduate of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). They were introduced to various production procedures, including concrete mixing and prestressing techniques used in the manufacturing of precast elements such as beams for buildings and bridges.

They also visited the fully equipped concrete laboratory, where they observed quality control procedures firsthand. These included sample testing, compression tests, and aggregate gradation analysis, all conducted by the ARMOS quality assurance team under the supervision of Mr. Georgios Toulios, Quality Manager and Civil Engineer (also an Aristotle University graduate).

The educational activity concluded with a presentation of major precast projects ARMOS has contributed to, including segments of the METRO system, bridges and building structures along the E65 motorway, safety barriers on the BOAK highway, and the architectural facades of the New Acropolis Museum.

ARMOS Precast S.A. actively supports the connection between education and industry, prioritizing partnerships with educational institutions to pass on knowledge and expertise to the next generation.
