The “OPAP ARENA” Stadium, also known as the “Agia Sophia” Stadium, is the new football stadium under construction of AEK in Nea Filadelfia, Attica. Its construction began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in September 2022. The stadium has a capacity of 30,597 spectators and is the most modern indoor stadium in Greece.
ARMOS undertook the supply and installation of more than 1000 prefabricated stands as well as the stadium stairs. The production of the elements took place at the company’s facilities in Oinouta, Viotia and was completed in less than 9 months.
After the successful completion of the first contract, ARMOS extended the collaboration with DIKEFALOS by undertaking the pre-construction of part of the architectural exterior cladding of the stadium using Glass Fiber Concrete.
